Poll: Best of Winters, or Worst of Winters?

It was the best of winters. It was the worst of winters.

After starting out on a semi-active note—an inch of snow whitened Seattle shortly after Thanksgiving, and a minor windstorm blew through two weeks later—Mother Nature has put the brakes on winter, with abnormally warm, sunny weather dominating ever since. Seattle just wrapped up its warmest February ever (dating back to 1891), fresh off the heels of its balmiest December on record. The spring-like conditions have led to both smiles and scowls up and down Puget Sound, delighting legions of warm weather enthusiasts while sending skiers, snowboarders and all-around active weather lovers* into a collective fit of rage.

How do you feel about the not-so-winter of 2014-15?

*Consider the Seattle Weather Blog firmly in this camp. However, with a lovely new daughter in my life, there (fortunately) hasn’t been much time to ponder just how un-winter-like this winter has been. (There’s also been even less time for blogging—hence the reason for my months-long hiatus.)
